About

(With the ‘3 Dads Walking Campaign’ after they finished their 500 mile walk for PAPYRUS, May 2024)

I have a range of skills suited to all forms of broadcasting and multi-media journalism. These have been gained through my experience as a presenter, producer, researcher and editor, on all broadcasting formats over the last four years. Roles that have been undertaken at Greatest Hits Radio, City News, Surge Radio, SUSUTV and The Wessex Scene.

Thanks to this experience I can record and edit both audio and visual content with ease, write for both a radio and TV audience and create digital content optimised for an online audience, thanks to my experience in SEO editing.

I currently work for Greatest Hits Radio as their Norfolk reporter. This role is immensely enjoyable and sees me organise, conduct and produce content for local stories on a daily basis. Through this role I have become well versed in using Burli Newsroom, Kapwing and Headliner.

During my time as an MA Broadcast Journalism student at City, University of London I gained practical newsroom experience and learnt how to operate appropriate production software for TV, Radio and Digital publishing, such as WordPress.

The course also helped develop my skill-set in Adobe Audition and Premier, as well as Data-wrapper. Experience which has vastly improved the quality of my work and allowed me to cover every story with renewed confidence and vigour.

I have taken on a range of leadership and team management roles over the last four years. After being Head of News at Surge Radio between 2019-2020, I have been Head of Digital Output, Radio Editor and Lead News Bulletin producer at City News on a number of occasions.

I am passionate about politics, geo-political current affairs and sports. As demonstrated by my role as lead presenter of F1 in Review and Half past the Hour podcast series and me having the pleasure of interviewing Dean Smith during his first press conference as Norwich City manager.

At the end of my undergraduate degree in History at the University of Southampton, I wrote my dissertation on The Origins and Impacts of Operation Cyclone and The Stinger Missile transfer (1979-1994). This looked at why the United States involved themselves in the Soviet-Afghanistan war and how the mass transfer of the Stinger missile from 1986 onwards, continues to threaten the security and safety of global civil aviation to this day. Work that has helped to spark and develop some of my interests.
