Radio

I have over five years of radio experience and currently work as Greatest Hits Radio’s Norfolk reporter.

Among other things, this role has seen me report on Queen’s death, Royal Procession and State Funeral directly from Sandringham Estate and Parliament Street in Westminster. While I also led our station’s coverage of local MP, Liz Truss being elected as Prime Minister by Conservative members in September 2022.

In addition to this, I have created and delivered a unique week-long investigation into the issue of water security, across Norfolk and East Anglia in October 2022 and September 2023 called #TroubledWaters and #Eastagainsttheelements. More recently I completed one that looked at Coastal Erosion in the Norfolk village of Hemsby.

My passion for Radio journalism started when I was elected Head of News Updates in 2018 and then Head of News in 2019 at Surge Radio. A period in which the team won Team of the Year in 2018 and secured two highly commended awards for Team of the Year and Best Multi-Media Collaboration in 2020.

During my time in these roles I also co-organised a nine-hour multi-media livestream for the 2019 General Election between the University’s TV and newspaper societies. In addition to this, I also over-saw the creation and execution of seven new projects, while managing over twenty people.

Since then I joined City and have undertaken a range of presenting, producing and technical roles which range from live reporter to programme editor.
